So I told him, I said, well, let me look into it and just see what I find. Oh, and I'm about to tell you what I found, because what I found will blow your mind. So I'm also going to ask a couple of questions.

Um, so of course we all know the Jim Jones story as, um, a bunch of people in a cult going to Guyana, um, in November on the 18th of November, 1978, 913 men, women and children supposedly drank Kool-Aid that was, um,

He was a preacher of a thing called People's Temple, which we were told was a very left-wing religious cult. Left-wing meaning like quasi-communist left-wing.

That's going to be important because you remember one of the lessons that we've learned in digging into Gladio is everything gets labeled as this communist thing so they can fight against it as an anti-communist thing. All right, so just keep that in the back of your mind. So when you start looking into this, you realize that in many aspects, Jim Jones was associated

He also happened to be involved in some of the MKUltra projects that were going on with the U.S. Army top chemical warfare specialist, Dr. Lawrence Layton. Keep that name in your mind as well, because he comes up repeatedly. Okay, so rather than a mass suicide,

9:28 It may have actually been a mass murder. And we're going to go through some of the details with our Gladio glasses on and see if that doesn't change our impression of the overall story. We also know as part of this story, Leo Ryan, who was a Democrat from California, was murdered on site when he went to investigate the Jonestown. Some would say.

And the people that were shot with him was a person that had actually left the cult, Patricia Parks, who basically was a whistleblower, and reporters Greg Robinson, Don Harrison.

10:28 and Bob Brown. They were shot on the airstrip getting ready to leave by armed men who were described by a couple of people who actually got away as looking as if they were drugged zombies. Ryan was the first and only congressman ever killed in the line of duty. He was killed with a specific kind of bullet. They're called dum-dum bullets.

11:00 That supposedly are untraceable. However, they have been known to be used in multiple CIA events that have actually been validated to CIA events. They were outlawed by the Geneva Convention. And basically they shatter as soon as they hit you. They had been issued by the CIA for use in anti Castro.

Lane visited Jonestown and narrowly escaped the massacre just days before he gave testimony about the JFK assassination at the House Select Commission Committee on Assassinations. Lane had been Marina Oswald's attorney.

So pictures of all the dead bodies show them laying face down as if they'd been carefully arranged with the children laying underneath the adults. Death from cyanide poisoning has some very specific telltale signs. Number one of which is your body will be violently contorted.

13:27 Like it spasms in some really weird ways where generally speaking, the only thing that would be touching the ground is part of your head and the heels of your feet. So none of the bodies look like they were contorted in any way. They are all very relaxed, laying flat on the ground. Their faces also.

So Lewis Gervick, who ran a large detective agency in New Orleans and whose daughter Jan died in the massacre, said that he saw guns at the scene of the massacre and evidence of bodies that had been drug after death and laid out as if they were putting them in a particular.

One man was obviously fighting someone off and died in that position while others displayed signs of having been injected with poison. Stanley Clayton, a witness who escaped the massacre, said that he observed a woman being forcibly held down and injected with poison and that when mothers refused to surrender their children, armed guards murdered the children.

15:47 Gervage and Clayton's observation contradicted the media reports from the time which characterized the deaths at Jonestown as a mass suicide. Further contradicting the claim of a mass suicide, Mark Lane reported hearing machine gun firing, and he was not the only one. Many locals also witnessed that same thing. So he fled into the jungle at the beginning of the gunfire. Autopsies carried out by Guyana's

16:23 Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Leslie Mutu, who worked for 32 straight hours in extreme jungle heat, originally determined that the cause of death for at least 700 of the victims was homicide and not suicide. Mutu observed puncture wounds at the base of the shoulders and neck of many of the victims, which indicated they had been forcibly held down and injected with a poison.

The cyanide poison was found in bottles labeled Valium, which is what many possibly thought that they were taking. So maybe they emptied the Valium out and actually injected them with something else. The Guyanese Defense Forces arrived at Jonestown to even communicate a massacre had happened or a mass suicide. The timing indicates that the CIA agent was present at Jonestown at the time of the massacre.

Fletcher Prouty, who worked closely with Key, he was basically the joint staff liaison with the CIA, so if the CIA needed

So an autopsy on Jones' own body concluded that he did not take poison, but had killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The pistol, however, was found 200 feet away from his body, and Jones was shot through the left side of his head when he was actually right-handed.

24:13 That's a little awkward. Numerous researchers think the body identified as Jones could not have been his because it did not mesh with his physical characteristics. Photos of the body did not show identifying tattoos on his chest, for example, and that his body and face were not recognizable due to bloating and discoloration. And you know, if there's one body that they would pay particular attention to, it's going to be that body.

24:42 But no, they left that out in the heat and let it get completely distorted. According to researchers, Michael Meyer, Phil Blakely, a People's Temple member from Great Britain. So Phil Blakely is a Temple member working for Jones that was originally from Great Britain. He ran a special forces training camp at Jonestown in the mid 70s for mercenaries.

25:13 heading to Angola, anchored one of the temple ship at the Port of Spain in Trinidad, where he remained during the murder-suicide ritual. Now, I'm going to spend a little bit of time right here, because this paragraph is huge. Jonestown, and we'll get into a little bit more detail later on, but Jonestown was originally founded.

It's where all over the world, if you had a Gladio guy and he needed to hide, he went to Spain. Huge indicators. When it was over, Jim Jones radioed Blakely to pick up both him and his guards at the mouth of the river, about 30 miles north of Jonestown.

The ship was impounded by the authorities who briefly detained Blakely for questioning while they searched for Jones at the mouth of the river, not realizing that was exactly what Jones wanted them to do so he could escape over land to Venezuela. The Venezuela Border Patrol revealed that there was a mass group of about 30 or 40 people that moved towards their border shortly after the massacre.

They share a very long border. Leo Ryan's aide, Joe Holsinger, who survived the ambush of his boss, believed that Jones faked his own death, but was then ambushed by CIA agents who disappeared in three boats.

There is no doubt in my mind that Jones had very close CIA connections. And remember, Brazil is a country that Jones is very familiar with, and we're going to go into that. He also had money hidden there. Holsinger added, quote,

Eerily in Jones' last tape transcribed by the FBI, he can be heard amid wailing and screams extorting his followers to take their own lives saying, get Dwyer out of here before something happens to him. Dwyer was Richard Dwyer.

29:10 deputy chief of mission at the U.S. embassy, who is suspected of being a CIA agent. Dwyer worked for the U.S. Foreign Service in Egypt and Syria and Grenada, all prior to Gladio coups. And Syria was not a coup, but it was an attempted coup. But he was there in Grenada just before we invaded Grenada. So he seems to be a prep artist.

His mother, whose name was Lynette, was a college-educated anthropologist who went to work in an assembly plant and worked later as a prison guard. His father, James Sr., 16 years, Lynette Sr.

As a teenager, he allegedly came under the spell of Pentecostal evangelists who led faith healing revivals on the edge of town, took him under their wing. Jones subsequently preached 16 miles from his home in a predominantly black neighborhood of Richmond. As a college student, he married a lady by the name of Marceline.

33:47 who was a nurse and four years older than he was. And basically he said, Jones said that he had a calling to be a pastor. So he was a great speaker and very theatrical. According to those close to them, he used wet chicken livers as cancers that he was removing under divine powers. So he's also a scam artist. A vocal proponent of racial integration and socialism.

34:18 which many believe this part is an act. Many of Jones' parishioners were Black. According to researcher Michael Myers, Jones worked in Black congregations into basically emotional craziness. He's a manipulator. So he's doing this on purpose. He picked that audience and his methods on purpose.

34:44 In 1955, Jones set up the Wings of Deliverance, which was a Pentecostal church in Indianapolis that became the people's temple. He focused on interracial miracle healings. According to Myers, Jones preached an anti-communist doctrine, which is telltale signs of Gladio.

35:14 He made references to communal lifestyles of Christ's apostles, basically saying they sold all of their goods. They basically give everything up for the church. You know, that's how he gets rich. In 1960, the temple social programs exceeded those offered by the city of Indianapolis because he's trying to hook these people psychologically. A clever tactic that Jones used to gain more followers was to stage attacks on his church by the KKK or white supremacist groups, which reinforced his status of a defender of civil rights. That is classic Gladio. Dress up like somebody else, attack yourself, and then blame those other people, even though it's you.

To bolster his revolutionary credentials, he shows films of CIA torture and led marches against the Vietnam War.

37:15 The People's Temple took in ex-cons, former drug addicts, emotionally disturbed and wayward youths, and others considered to be social deviants because they're going to experiment on them. 60 to 80% of the church congregants were Black. They love messing with Black people because they hate them. Drawn to Jones' evangelistic style, in 1971, Jones moved the People's Temple to San Francisco.

38:13 People's Temple services were attended by left-wing celebrities like Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden, along with political refugees from Chile after the 1973 CIA-backed coup of Salvador Allente, a socialist who, he wasn't a socialist, he just wanted his country back. And he, Salvador Allente, the real reason why they couped him is because he wanted Chile's

Laura Johnston Cole, who joined the Temple at age 22, was having, after having been tear gassed protesting the Vietnam War, working with the Black Panthers and attending the famous 69 Woodstock Festival, said that Temple, People's Temple, offered a community that I was looking for. I was looking for equality and justice.

39:12 where people of all backgrounds and races got along. She said her life was totally destroyed. She had a failed marriage and she was just looking for acceptance. While providing a home in the 1960s, the People Temple took on a cult-like quality. Jones was a master manipulator who was characterized by one of the landladies back in Indiana as a gangster with a Bible that he used as a gun.

For various transgressions, he would have temple members have sex in front of the entire congregation. He also set up boxing matches in which victims were ordered into a ring with a much bigger, stronger opponent. Jones' corruption was epitomized by his

Jones was given a Martin Luther King Jr. Award for community service in 1977 because they just love humiliating people as he was stealing money from black children. And Willie Brown, who characterized him at an awards dinner as a combination of Martin Luther King, Angela Davis, Albert Einstein, and Chairman Mao. That's quite a combination. Jones forged further relationships with California Lieutenant Governor Mervyn Demily.

42:42 Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office, and Governor Jerry Brown, who actually attended Temple services and secured appointment by San Francisco Mayor George Moscone to the board of directors of the Housing Authority and Human Rights Commission. Future Vice President Walter Mondale also met with Jones on the campaign plane. People's Temple by this time had compiled assets over $1 billion.
