1:59 Some of you kind of in the middle, and I'll just briefly give my little pitch on Operation Gladio. I came across it in another book. I'm now on my third book on reading in-depth analysis of what it is, how it came about, and what relevance it has today. And that's kind of what we talk about on this podcast series.

2:34 I routinely do book reviews. I do them on Substack as well as hashtag international syndicate on Truth Social. I've done quite a few of them there. And generally reading one book will lead you to another book, which will lead you to another book. And when I came across Operation Gladio, having been retired military.

3:03 and not recognize the name, which is kind of unusual. Most of y'all know that I went for a year-long master's degree program in strategic studies, which kind of goes over, at least in our lifetime, the series of wars and how the globe is kind of set up in different sections based on who gets along with who. And we kind of went,

3:34 area by area and studied the whole world. So for there to be what I thought was a military operation that I hadn't heard of was kind of unusual. And when I started digging into it, it's much bigger than just a military operation, although military, to their disgrace, was involved in it. It basically began as a German operation under Galen.

4:04 G-E-H-L-E-N. And he basically traded the operational aspect of it to Alan Dulles for his freedom. Because we know after World War II was over, this happened in 1942, there was a lot of negotiations and Galen met secretly with Alan Dulles in Switzerland and said, hey, I've got this whole terror network set up and all of the

4:35 countries that were under the Axis control. And I will tell you where they're all at. There were tens of thousands of people associated with them. There were stashes of money, weapons, radios for communication. They called them stay-behind units. And they were to, at the time, they were referred to as werewolf units because they were under the name of General Wolf and operationally under Galen.

5:04 And so he told Alan Dulles, if you protect me and allow me to stay as chief of intel for the new incoming West Germany, supposedly no Nazis, government, I'll tell you where they're all at. Well, Alan Dulles was thrilled with that because he was going to be taking over the CIA. And so he created them all over Europe.

5:28 then all over South America, then all over Southeast Asia. And all of these terror units were used for decades. Anytime they wanted a coup to happen, they mobilized these units. When they wanted a terrorist attack to happen, they mobilized these units. And this book focuses a lot on what happened in Italy because Italy was one of the only countries that did in-depth investigations.

5:57 And I mean, very in-depth investigations. These units were everywhere in exposing what they were and how they were connected to everybody. So we have found out as a result that the the Masons had infiltrated the Catholic Church in Rome and they had infiltrated the with the Masons, primarily Gali.

6:27 G-E-L-L-I, the Vatican Bank. And for those of you who don't know, throughout Italy, they had both regular banks, but they also had banking system that during the time that the Vatican was not its own entity prior to Mussolini's reign, they had...

6:54 catholic church affiliated bank networks throughout the country of italy and they had infiltrated that and so in bed with the cia in bed with the mafia um and as we saw during a couple of exchanges today um we're going to step on people's toes um from here on out everybody has their little sacred piece that they think's not corrupt um everybody has

When I retired in 2008 after 30 years in the military, if somebody would have told me that there are people that are in the military that would be part of something like Operation Gladio, I'd have laughed at them. I mean, I spent 30 years there. I didn't meet anybody that would have been a part of something like that.

7:56 um they're everywhere in operation gladio it was ran out of and had quarterly meetings under the auspices of nato every nato country has gladio units and it's still today so that was kind of my bubble that was um first a long time ago um when you look at um

8:20 What happened after 9-11? I was at U.S. Central Command on 9-11. I watched what they did, not knowing that the whole thing was a setup. But somebody mentioned on True Social yesterday, they had a clip about the other countries that we were going to invade as a part of the ongoing war after Afghanistan. It was going to be Iraq, then it was going to be Syria, then it was going to be Somalia.

8:50 And I had not even thought about this until whoever posted that posted it. I was sitting at lunch talking to a bunch of my friends who the majority of them worked in the J2, which was the Intel segment. And I happened to walk up. They were already seated and they were talking about.

9:18 options on where we were going to go, what we were going to do in retaliation for the attacks. And the comment that the person just made on True Social about the it was a video where the guy is talking about the different follow ons. And I'm immediately that memory just popped right into my head. Those were the exact countries.

9:46 those guys, the desk officers for those particular countries were all working on. And I'm like, that is exactly what they were doing. They use 9-11 as an excuse to go do what they really intended on doing. I mean, it was just dumbfounding to me. So my little fiefdom got wrecked, you could say.

10:10 I understand that a lot of the conversation about Gladio because it involves the Catholic Church is very sensitive to some people. And every single one of us is going to have a part of this unfurling of information that's going to drive to the heart of something that we believe is a certain way, only to find out that it's not anything like what we believe. I understand what that feels like.

10:41 But it doesn't stop us from the journey of uncovering truth. So that's where we go. All right. So starting back with the book, we're at the point in the last chapter where they had tried to assassinate John Paul II. That was a Gladio unit that had been activated out of Turkey that traveled through Bulgaria.

11:11 into Italy and tried to assassinate him in the Vatican Square. So six months before that happened, Italian judge Carlo Palermo launched an investigation into the smuggling of heroin into northern Italy. Now, keep in mind, for those of you that are new, the whole Gladio operation is they go wherever.

11:40 poppy fields are, and there will be a military conflict because the military is really there guarding poppy fields, not whatever conflict that they think it is. It happened in Vietnam. It happened in Korea. We just traced this to the Golden Triangle in the northern part of Turkey. That's where they're at right now harvesting poppy. Then they're going to go to South America and do the exact same thing.

12:04 They have to have the Gladio unit so they can distract the civilians with bombs and terror and stuff. So there's nobody looking at them harvesting all the poppy. So they traffic this poppy into labs, then on to Sicily. And Sicily does the final processing, puts them on a ship. It goes to Cuba. It goes to Mexico, goes to Panama. And then it's trafficked into the United States.

12:32 At the beginning of the story, it was primarily focused on black and minority names. Now they've got everybody hooked on it. So this judge starts this investigation into the trafficking that's coming across the Italian border. And they arrest and interrogate a local drug pen king and several members of his gang.

13:02 So there was heroin that was arriving in police cars provided by an agent of the Turkish mafia that's associated with Gladio. So you've got all of these people. He's looking into it. They're working, the mafia, Gladio people are working with the Sicilian mafia, which is where the labs are.

13:29 So Albertini, who is the kind of the kingpin of this operation, operates a lab that produced 100 kilograms of choice brown number four heroin a week. He was in the league with a guy by the name of Bontedi, who had helped to arrange the fake kidnapping of Michele Sedona. And you remember Sedona was the Vatican banker who got.

13:59 forced out and he's now in new york under arrest in january of 1981 koffler was taken into custody and began to provide some details on the balkan route working with the turkish babas and the sicilian gang and the company stybom international that is located on bank ambrosiano building

14:29 And that's kind of a shell company that facilitates the drug trade and the money laundering. So they name a whole bunch of the people, but basically they start talking. And he starts spilling his guts about that they're getting arms, weaponry, from NATO bases that were supplied in exchange for the drugs.

14:54 Is that not relevant in today's what we're seeing right now going on in Israel, where we now know that the weapons that Hamas is using is coming from Afghanistan, at least to some degree. And that's why every terror organization that is in existence today can trace its roots to Operation Gladio. So Koffler.

15:22 um starts talking about the weapons including tanks helicopter gunships and freighters have been exchanged out of nato's inventory to facilitate this whole um uh operation and within two months koffler's found dead in his cell he has been placed he had been placed in solitary confinement and was under 24-hour surveillance he had his throat slit

15:53 and his heart pierced with a very fine needle. No one was ever charged for the crime. So we've learned through the previous 16 chapters, anybody that talks about Operation Gladio is dead within days of having talked. But the damage had already been done. Palermo and his investigators now turn their attentions to Stybomb, the fake company, the shell company.

16:25 And Henry Arson, who was involved in sty bombs, the sty bomb pipeline flowed from Bulgaria to Sicily, and it remained protected by some very powerful people in the Italian intelligence apparatus and NATO officials. So Palermo could verify that the seemingly innocuous shipping company.

16:52 that had shipped more than 4 000 kilos of pure heroin to markets throughout europe and the united states with a net worth of over 400 billion dollars making inquiries into um the cia well to the cia palermo was told that arsan should not be taken into custody since he worked undercover for the dea and then the next excuse they use is national security so the magistrate

17:25 Ignored the disinformation that he worked for the DEA. And a raid on Steinbaum's headquarters in Milan occurred in November of 1982. The raid resulted in the arrest of Arsene and 200 leading accomplices in arms trafficking. And they start talking about several of the people that had been arrested.

17:51 One of them was an agent for the US NSA that was part of the Mason P2 organization. And another by the name of Colonel Massimo Puglinese. And I find that interesting because the people that I rented from when I lived in Italy for three years, last name was Puglinese. And maybe that's why they knew so much about what was going on with this operation.

18:21 That just is frightening, actually. And then it lists a few other people. So Palermo was just getting started with the probe. And the leading Sicilian mafia guy was collared, including Giuseppe Albertini and several others that were involved in the drug smuggling side of Stibon operations. So Palermo learned that Arson had imported 20 kilos of morphine.

18:51 every month for processing by the Sicilian mafia in their laboratories. Palermo recognized the refined heroin as being shipped to Miami, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and other U.S. ports of call, where it was given to the Gambino crime family and sold out of their pizza restaurants.

19:20 Palermo further discovered that a great deal of weapons had been sent by Stybom to a company called Skandaran, a small Syrian enclave that was occupied by Turkey. And I think a lot of what we're going to find out, especially in Lebanon and Syria, is there are things that happen there that has absolutely nothing to do.

19:48 with the Syrian people or even the Syrian government. Palermo issued an arrest warrant for General Santovito, who we learned last time was the head of Italian intelligence network. And Santovito is up to his eyeballs in Operation Gladio. So he

20:17 He definitely knew about the strategy of tension, Operation Gladio, and he also knew about and was involved in the attempted murder of John Paul II. At the direction of Gilly and his CIA overlords, the intel general, Santavito, had planted false leads about the Bologna bombing and immediately sent troops there.

20:47 washed away all the evidence so nobody could trace who had actually done that um santa vito appeared in court posted bell and fled the u.s coaxed by the cia he returned to italy no doubt believing that no harm would befall him since he was a steadfast military official who had devoted his life to fighting communism this is all done in the name of communism fighting communism that's how they justified everything

21:15 Santa Vito was placed in a holding cell where he was found dead under mysterious circumstances. He had dropped dead immediately before his interrogation and no autopsy was done. In 1983, the same strange jailhouse fate befell Henry Arson of the Steinbaum Company. But unlike General Santa Vito, he looked exactly like the Pope John.

21:45 Paul I did when he was found murdered with his eyes bulging out of the socket. It's slightly purple and his skin completely gray. So no autopsies conducted. They just basically say he had a heart attack and move on, which is the exact same excuse they gave of John Paul I when he was murdered. And just to recap, John Paul I

22:14 was murdered in his bed with the papers of, he had just announced he was disclosing the entire Operation Gladio to the public the following day. He told everybody that what he had discovered was appalling, that there were Masons throughout the hierarchy of the Vatican Church and the Vatican Bank, and that he was going to have no part in it any longer.

22:45 And he was going to stop the whole thing. So he, of course, then died. Palermo relocated to Sicily to further his investigation. And shortly after he opened the office down there, a carload of TNT exploded alongside the highway as the judge was traveling by. He was not killed, but he was severely injured.

23:14 He resigned immediately and stopped the official investigation. They did continue to look into the material that he had already gotten. He was looking for anything that would be revealing in the information that he had already captured. So my thing froze up. I just want to make sure that it's every things are still running there.

23:44 So what he did notice as he was pouring over all of the information is it came across several pieces of paper from the shipping company that dealt with the arms and the drugs and several mysterious deaths. And they had initials T.G.S. And he kind of set that aside because he couldn't figure out who exactly that was. It was years later that it dawned on the judge that that was.

24:12 Theodore or Ted G. Shackley of the CIA. He was the former deputy director who had been in charge of all covert operations to include Operation Gladio. So his initials are on quite a few things. After the raid on Steinbaum, the CIA created a new shipping company to perpetuate the drugs for arms trade. They were called Alivaine and Alivaine International.

24:43 They were set up in Scotland and Israel. Isn't that interesting? Terrence Charles Byrne, an American arms dealer, at the request of CIA Director William Casey, is the one that set these companies up. One of the first shipments from this firm was made to Ayatollah Khomeini in Iran as part of

25:16 October surprise promise. The October surprise, just for y'all that don't know, is a deal that the Reagan incoming administration made to. They hadn't been elected. Sorry. In October, they made a deal with Iran that they would ship them arms if they would hold on to the U.S. hostages until.

25:45 Reagan won the election to make Jimmy Carter look bad like he can't solve international problems. So that was the October surprise that the Reagan team pulled off. So Khomeini held on to the hostages until Reagan took office and then released them. So other shipments included radioactive cesium.

26:13 C-E-S-I-E-M, which was sent to Denmark and then on to Portugal, on to Cyprus, to Israel, and finally to Iran. And just for y'all that don't know, there's so much history between Iran and Israel. Israel, basically, it was like an appendage of Israel, Iran was.

26:44 We are supposed to now believe that Iran is like this major funder of terrorism against Israel, when Israel in large part is who created the Iran that we know today. So once the weapons got to Iran, then they also talked about the whole drug side of it, where Sicily had heroin kitchens that were set up throughout Turkey to feed.

27:19 the sicily heroin kitchens this stuff was located just above the border in iraq which again if you remember from last time we talked about the kurds in northern iraq going over and kurds live in southern turkey as well so what they do is they go and they set up these um drug facilities in these areas that have friction

27:49 Then they encourage the friction fighting so that they can mask moving the drugs around in military convoys as if it's part of the ongoing war or skirmish or whatever's going on. So everywhere that you find drugs, you're going to find military presence. And I can guarantee the military, for the most part, has no idea.

28:19 that they're actually protecting drug trades and facilitating weapon trafficking. So all of these little villages along the Turkish-Iraq route ended up growing into these oasis places with all of the money flooding with the selling of the poppy. So it had become a $400 billion

28:51 business thanks to the CIA. So the Golden Triangle, which is in southern Turkey, northern Iran, northern Iraq, is now producing 80% of the world's opium supply by the end of 1982. The DEA had evidence of over 40 heroin syndicates and 200 heroin laboratories operating in Pakistan.

29:20 The CIA deposited a large share of its profits from these operations in a company called Shikarchi Trading Company in Lebanon, which served only as a convenient laundromat for the shipping of 8.5 ton of choice brown product to the Gambino crime family in New York.

29:51 The sharp rise in heroin production was blamed, of course, on the Soviets. The regime maintained an absolute indifference to any. Oh, so they blamed it on the Soviet generals and said it was all coming out of Afghanistan when it had already been moved into Turkey. And Edwin Meese, who at the time was Reagan's attorney general, says, quote.

30:19 The regime maintains an absolute indifference to any measures to control poppy. And he goes on to say, we strongly believe that there is actually encouragement, at least tactically, over growing poppy. He knows that it's us. They're just lying. Oh, and thank you, Fada, for sharing that.

30:49 But the principal laundry for the new heroin was the bank called BCCI. And we've covered that a couple of chapters back. BCCI was a bank that was set up in Pakistan, basically as a way of money laundering. Because you can't just money launder out of one bank. So even if the Vatican is money laundering, it can't just be done there. You have to run it through a series of like three banks and multiple different accounts in order for the.

31:20 And not named accounts like numbered accounts like they do in Switzerland where they did so that the money trails can get very vague. So the primary offices for BCCI was in London and Karachi. James Arbath, a CIA associate and his business partner, partner, George Bush. Yeah. Junior remained.

31:52 a primary director. So you've got Bush Jr.'s business associate as a primary director of the bank that's laundering money for drugs and weapons. Bert Lance, an American businessman who served as the OMB, Office of Management and Budget, under Jimmy Carter, was also part of the BCCI.

32:19 And there's a whole story about him and a bank that he owned and how he tried to sell it and make money in Atlanta. We won't get into that because that's a whole story in and of itself. But he worked with Arkansas based power brokers, Jackson Stevens. And Jackson Stevens, we know, is the financial backer behind Bill Clinton, both when he was running for governor as governor and when he was running for.

32:49 In accordance with the wishes of William Casey, the CIA director under Reagan, the BCCI stood alone, financially independent and free from any congressional oversight because they set it up in Pakistan. So Lance and Stevens had presence in this whole network is what brought Arkansas.

33:18 and the MENA airport into the drug smuggling area. So you've got the CIA in and out of the MENA airport with drugs and bales of cash that were being flown back to BCCI to be money laundered. And so then BCCI decides they're going to buy a couple of

33:45 American banks to be able to money launder inside the United States because that much money flowing was too hard to get physically out of the country. So they open up First American, which was a bank in Washington, D.C. And they also, like I said, ended up buying a bank in Atlanta, which caused a whole big problem for.

34:15 Burt Lance. He ended up being under investigation as a result of it. So First American was set up in Washington, D.C., and it had been acquired by BCCI by former Secretary of Defense Clark Clifford. The cash came from the Gambino crime family to buy the bank. Now, if you look up Clark

34:47 Clifford. He was the White House counsel for Truman. He was the presidential intel advisor for Johnson. He was also sec def for Johnson. He was in the Navy during World War II. He was indicted for his involvement in BCCI. He identifies himself as a Zionist Christian and that his primary role in life, if you will, was to

35:19 advance the recognition of Israel. Where do we get these people? And why are they working here? Why don't they go work for Israel? The laundering of at First American was conducted in conjunction with the Worthing Bank and also the Arkansas Development Finance Authority, which is what Clinton used to launder Arkansas taxpayer dollars. And Worthing Bank.

35:51 was involved in the whole China gate that happened when China was trying to buy influence in the White House during the Clinton administration. That was all about Northern Bank. So the BCCI front in the D.C. Bank was Kamal Adham, who, according to the Kerry Commission and a Kerry committee report, the CIA's principal liaison for the entire Middle East.

36:22 was Kamal Adel. And this is the guy who is basically the front person at the BCCI Bank in Washington, D.C. from Pakistan. So a trail of tens of millions of dollars in cocaine profits from Medina, Arkansas, and we don't know where it leads. It's a trail blocked by the National Security Council. That was reported by a CBS correspondent that

36:52 They actually at the time was looking into First American, but was being blocked by the National Security Council. And keep in mind that this is all happening while Reagan is president. So in 1985, BCCI has become an international $23 billion operation. It's a CIA front bank.

37:21 The CIA had shelled out more than $83 million to Geli for Operation Gladio and the October surprise. The agency provided infusions of discretionary cash to the Vatican shell companies. Remember, we talked about those. I think there was eight of them that was set up and out of the Bank of Ambrosia.

37:45 between the vatican and the bank of ambrosia they set up these eight shell companies that they were using to launder the money with and to use to buy weapons and facilitate this whole gladio operation and the guy that was the governor of the vatican operation who prior to being promoted to the governor had basically been the guy that was in charge of the vatican bank

38:16 actually signed a document saying that those shell companies were part of the Vatican entity to try to shield them from being investigated. But it ended up with the guy at the Bank of Ambrosiano getting murdered as a result of this connection. And his secretary was thrown out of the upper floor and murdered for what she might know.

38:47 So, okay, back to the story. There were ties even from all of this network of Operation Gladio with the Irish Republican Army, the IRA, as it was doing basically operations as a part of the whole fight that they were having with Britain at the time. So there was, let's see.

39:24 The Atlanta branch, the next part is trying to make the connection of the archbishop at the time of Chicago, Markinicus, who now is the secretary of state, if you will, of the Vatican, and how this whole BCCI operation also ties into the financial people.

39:57 that he worked with in Chicago. So we have Arthur Hartman, who is another director at the BCCI. He also used to be a spy. He worked for British and Saudi intelligence. He served as the president of the Rothschilds Bank in Zurich. In June of 1982, Hartman's Bank in Zurich, a Rothschild bank, received a morning delivery from BCCI.

40:26 a suitcase stuffed with $21 million in cash. That money was to pay for the murder of Roberto Calvi. And remember that Roberto Calvi was part of the Vatican Bank, Bank of Ambrosia deal. Calvi was in charge of the Bank of Ambrosia, and he had been part of the money laundering. And he's the one that took the letter to have signed.

40:55 Because they were investigating him and he wanted Markinicus to sign a letter saying that those eight shell companies were tied to the Vatican. Well, Markinicus signed that letter saying that to get Calvi out from being investigated. It didn't help him. They kept investigating him anyway, eventually arresting him. He was murdered. But Calvi had taken a letter.

41:25 That said, even if they're part of the Vatican Bank, that his bank, Bank of Ambrosiano, was going to not hold the Vatican at all responsible for all the bad loans they were making to those eight shell companies. It was another money laundering outfit. And that all got exposed in the last chapter. So the decision to kill Calvi was not taken lightly. The CIA had tried to resolve the Ambrosia affair.

41:55 by providing a new international consultant to the bank. The guy that they picked, Pazienza, had abandoned his medical profession in order to serve in Operation Gladio. He was dispatched as part of the Italian intelligence apparatus under the orders of General Santavito.

42:34 And NATO commander and now Secretary of State Alexander Haig, he used to be a general. He was the NATO commander. So, again, both as the NATO commander and now as Secretary of State, Alexander Haig played a big role in Operation Gladio. The leading member of a leading member of P2, this doctor, Kazienza, also met.

43:03 Routinely with Geli, who is the grandmaster of the Mason P2 organization. So this doctor also worked at Stuybaum. He arranged for sale of a fleet of warships to Saddam Hussein in Iraq. And he also had ties to the Gambino family in the U.S.

43:36 Pazienza became deeply involved in the U.S. political affairs as a result of all these connections. He was also involved in the Billigate, which had to do with President Carter's brother being supposedly in bed with an organization supporting the liberation of Palestine. President Reagan was duly impressed with Pazienza's talent.

44:08 And also Reagan removed Richard Gardner as the U.S. ambassador to Italy. So in between of the two ambassadors is in the early 80s when the old guy was gone and the new guy was coming on. We talked about last chapter is when a lot of this stuff started getting revealed.

44:43 Pazianzo began to devise a plan to plug the gaping $1.75 billion hole in the bank Ambrosiano and the loans that they had been making to the shell companies. He used his CIA contacts and arranged for two American investors. It's presumed those two to be David Rockefeller and Robert Armao.

45:12 three Saudi businessmen and two banks to pay $1.2 billion for the nine shell companies that now held nearly 16% of the Ambrosiano stock. Seven days after John Paul II was shot, Calvi was arrested for the illegal transfer of the funds out of the country and was locked up in prison. And we talked a little bit about this, but we're now going to get a little bit more involved in that.

45:42 If the Vatican Bank accepts any responsibility, it will not only tarnish the Vatican's image, but you'll lose as well and our problems will be your problems. That's basically what Markinicus is saying to the Calvi family who ask the Vatican for help in saving Calvi.

46:08 Calbee was kind of an introvert and a very meticulous person. And so he didn't fare too well in jail. He couldn't sleep. He wasn't able to go to the bathroom in front of other people. He obviously never served in the military. And so he was bloating. He was starting to get sick. He kept being questioned. And he was saying things like, I am just the lowest of low. I am just a dog who serves others.

46:39 And then as soon as they were asked, you know, who who he was serving, he would say, oh, I can't tell you anymore. So on July 7th, when the Italian government charged Sedona with the murder of and Rosali, Calvi swallowed a quantity of barbiturates and slit his wrists while he was in prison. So Calvi was sentenced to four years.

47:09 Excuse me. On July 29th. And he was fined 16 billion lira. His attorney filed an appeal. And so he was free on bail. And within a week, he went back to his job as the chairman of the Bank of Ambrosia. So the shareholders kept insisting on proof that the shell companies were affiliated with the Vatican.

47:40 And so this is when Calvi goes and he gets the letter from Markinicus that basically says, yeah, they're part of the Vatican, but he also signs that other letter. So they're doing a double cross to all the people that have bank accounts at the Bank of Ambrosiano. So the letter served to quiet the concerns temporarily while Pazienza gained the necessary backing for the plan.

48:13 The bailout of $1.2 billion was in place with the group agreeing to accept the 16% of the Ambrosiano stock held by the shell companies. The investors intended to purchase more shares at an inflated rate from interested sellers in order to obtain 20% of the bank, which would have put them in basically in charge of the bank. And that bank at the time was one of the most prestigious banks in all of Italy.
